CHRISSIE CAMP & ROLAND MCADAM TROPHY

In continuing the Committee’s desire to acknowledge significant contributions from members to our Club’s history, President Steve Koolloos announced that the Open Mixed Doubles perpetual trophy has been given naming rights, and will now be known as the Chrissie Camp & Roland McAdam Mixed Doubles trophy.

During the past 20 years, Roland has served as an ordinary Committee member, on the Works Committee, has been Club Captain three times, Club President four times, is the Club’s Approved License Manager, Trivia Night host extraordinaire and as an accredited Tennis Australia official has occasionally umpired Championships games.

Chrissie has been a stalwart of the Social Committee, organises our annual Trivia Nights and Christmas parties, compiles the Club newsletters and website blogs, does the weekly Clubtime bookings and contributes behind the scenes in multiple ways. Chrissie is always found making sure everyone is included and enjoying themselves at tennis and social events.

Roly and Chrissie were also the driving force behind the Club’s 40th Anniversary Gala Day in April 2018.

Chrissie & Roly have won the Mixed Doubles Open Championship playing together and one year took out the trifecta (Open, Veterans and Vintage Club Championships). Together they bring lots of laughs and good humour on and off the court and we are a much richer Club for having them here. Congratulations on this tribute Chrissie & Roland.
