2026 wimbledon finals day

Our first ever Wimbledon Day on Sunday July 12 was a huge success with the CBTC courts awash with members in their whites and a spectacular ‘Wimbledon’ inspired afternoon tea. It was terrific to see everyone dragging out the old whites - didn’t we all look so smart! 

 The Social Committee, led by Lyndee & Chrissie, outdid themselves with a beautiful SW19 inspired afternoon tea table complete with flowers and traditional serving plates.  Cucumber and egg finger sandwiches, Helen’s wonderful scones with jam & cream, Victoria sponges, shortbread raspberry biscuits and fresh strawberries & cream were all enjoyed across the afternoon.

A shout out also to the scheduled Capt of the Day Brad Davidson who had a full house to manage all afternoon.  Well done Brad.   

 The feedback to the day was overwhelmingly positive so it may now become an annual event.
