CMCare Community Tennis

Careel Bay Tennis Club has recently established a community engagement programme in partnership with CMcare. We have had a number of enthusiastic young people being introduced to tennis in a fun and supportive environment at the club.

CMcare is a disability support organisation based in Newport, who facilitates a care program of experiences and activities for differently abled people, enabling them to explore their potential, and have fun together.

The feedback from CMcare was that this has been an interactive and engaging experience which is bringing great joy to the participants involved and I think I can speak for Paula, Michelle, John and Phil who participated in some of the sessions, that this gave us an equal measure of joy to be part of.

As a club we are always looking at ways to engage and contribute to the community, and this is a meaningful way to do so.

A special shout out to our head coach Jordy, a great asset to the club and a fantastic guy, for running the sessions in such a positive and interactive way. It has been a real success so far, and a great initiative to be involved with.

We are truly blessed to have the facilities that we have, and the extraordinary community environment we have created and share together. It is even more special when we can share this with others.

This is planned to be an ongoing partnership with CMcare, and we will be running sessions monthly, weather depending of course!
